May 7, 2011 Leg Day
Hi All,
Well today I went in to see Dr. Greenwald to have some leg work done. I realize that I have been blogging more about my face than my legs so I think that this is a good time to fill you all in on what is going on with my leg care.
My legs had numerous areas of spider veins that were an embarrassment to me when I wore shorts or a dress. I always felt as if people were staring at them making comments and I certainly noticed them when I would cross my legs.
Well that is now becoming a faint memory. Since March Dr. Greenwald had been working on those veins and they are "Vanishing" right before my eyes. WHY, I ask myself, does anyone wait so long before seeking help for these painful, embarrassing parts of our lives?
Today, Dr. Greenwald injected numerous areas and after, as always, taped wads of cotton balls to the areas (to add more pressure under the support hose) then put my hose over them. You can see pictures below. Many people have asked if it hurts. My answer is NO. Dr. Greenwald injects numbing medicine before doing anything so the most you feel is a tiny pin prick. I will say the hardest part of this is wearing the hose for 3 days straight after the procedure...then daily for 2 weeks after. HOWEVER, if you do this during the winter months it would be much easier I believe.
I also want to say that there is NO ONE that I would trust to do this to my legs other than Dr. Greenwald. Am I saying this because I won this contest...absolutely not. I have, prior to this win, checked out other facilities to get my legs taken care of. NONE of the "doctors" were board certified VASCULAR SURGEONS. They were either PCP's, OBGYN's or some other doctor that took a course in doing these types of procedures. Day spas are popping up all over the state where they do vein work or facial work. However, Dr. Greenwald has been doing THIS and ONLY THIS type of work all her medical career. To me that says something. She does NOTHING but vascular work...she IS a PRO. So please trust me when I say that Dr. Greenwald knows her business and does a fantastic job at it! Don't put off doing what you have wanted to do...we all do that unfortunately. Don't put it off any longer. Visit her web site at Vanishingveins.net to read more about her and the procedures she offers.

April 28th fillers and leg work
Hi All...
Well today was a double whammy. I not only had my legs worked on by Dr. Greenwald but got quite a few injections of botox from Anita.
The morning began with getting Lidocane smeared all over my face and waiting a short time for it to take effect. Anita came in and explained to me that we would be starting botox injections to pick up some areas on my face making my face softer and ridding it of the deep "frown" lines and such.
I actually get a kick out of watching her look at me. She reminds me of an artist looking at her canvas...or a photographer looking through her lens. Her head turns from side to side as she watches my facial expressions so as she knows where to place the botox. This is not something that is taken lightly by any means and let me tell you when she was completed it was PHENOMENAL. I asked to see my before pictures....when she showed me I cried. All I can say is...I regained 20 years.
Check out the pictures of my face below. Please note that it is red and a bit swollen but much smoother and the deep creases beside my mouth are gone as are the furrows between my eyes.
Next was work to the veins in my legs. Dr. Greenwald, like Anita, examined my legs over and over deciding what her next move would be. A few shots of numbing meds and then to work on the veins. Within 1/2 hour I was back into support hose and heading for home.
Sunday I was able to remove the stockings and all I can say is WOW. My veins are disappearing! Those ugly purple/blue lines that have haunted me for years are half of what they use to be. I can't believe it!

My Second Pixel
Once again I am re posting this blog as it somehow got deleted.
Today was my second pixel and lip filler day! Once again numbing meds are applied and then the pixel...a bit deeper this time...no more stinging than the first time...just as "sunburned" but the end result after 3 or 4 days was again unbelievable. The surface of my face is so smooth and glows! I suggest this to any man or woman that has sun damage or uneven coloring to their skin. What a beautiful job this does. After this was completed Anita injected my lips to make them fuller. OH BABY am I lovin this new mouth. I have not had a full mouth since my 20's...but I do once again. I love these women!

My first pixel
I need to back peddle a little bit as some of my posts have gotten lost. This is a re post of my first "pixel" facial treatment.
I received my first "treatment" today...something called a PIXEL laser to my face. This process consists of getting numbing ointment put on my face then a laser is applied to my entire face. In essence it is like aerating your lawn. The laser punched tiny holes into your face allowing more oxygen to enter and collagen to build up. I will lose a little bit of skin with peeling and my face looks like I have a sunburn. Does this hurt? Well yes a little but more like a sting than a HURT. The results...astounding. After approx 3 days my face was no longer red and already smoother. I can even see a lightening of my sun spots!

I WON!
Hello All,
This is Maureen co-winner of Project Makeover from Vanishing Veins/Vivesse in Bloomfield, CT. I would like to chronicle my adventure so that you all can see what wonderful work these women do. I hope that you will share this with your friends and family.
I "hit the lottery" per se when I was chosen co-winner of Project Makeover, the other winner Chris will also be shown on the project makover site so you can watch his transformation too. This contest allows the winner to get a complete make over in the area of leg vein problems AND a rejuvenation of the facial area. I REALLY needed the facial part of this and also needed some work on spider veins on both legs. Click on the link below and begin watching our videos as we start this process.
